Bio:

Yuan Zuyi, serves as the Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Hospital and the Department of Cardiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.

He also serves as Vice Chairman of the International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS) China Chapter, Vice Chairman of the China Chest Pain Center Alliance, and Chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Chest Pain Center Alliance. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of the Shaanxi Provincial Medical Association.

His primary research focuses on the mechanisms of atherosclerosis development and progression, as well as basic and clinical studies on the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease. He has led and served as Chief Scientist for several national projects, including the National "973" Program and key research and development projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has also undertaken key projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the Ministry of Science and Technology's Major Chronic Disease Management Program.
